Rhodium recovery
and rhodium purchase
We recover rhodium from your used baths. With our Rhodium Recycling Powder JE632, you can also recover the rhodium from baths and rinse water yourself. You then decide whether we buy the rhodium at the daily rate or use it to make up a new bath for you.
Recover rhodium yourself
Rhodium is often used to plate silver or white gold, and its price fluctuates widely. That’s why it pays to lose as little of it as possible.
With Rhodium Recycling Powder JE632, you can recover the rhodium from used precious metal baths and from rinse water. This way, you make full use of your baths.
How it works:
- Add the powder to the used bath or rinse water at the correct pH value.
- Stir until the liquid is clear and flakes have formed. The rhodium is bound in the flakes.
- Filter off the rhodium powder mixture and dry it.
- The dried mixture is no longer classified as dangerous goods and can be shipped to us.
Our explainer video on YouTube shows how it’s done.

Purchase or new bath: your choice
No longer need your rhodium bath? We’ll take it back. Four steps take you from used bath to credit note or new bath:
- Recover rhodium from used baths or rinse water using JE632.
- Send the rhodium powder mixture or the bath to our laboratory.
- We determine the exact rhodium content.
- You decide: purchase at the current daily rate, or a new bath or concentrate made from your rhodium.
On request, the current daily rate can be fixed for two working days. If the goods do not reach us within this period, the fixed rate no longer applies.
Your benefits

Take-back of used baths
The purer a waste stream is, the easier it is to recover. That’s why we extend the service life of plating baths as far as possible by regenerating and replenishing them. When that is no longer possible, separation processes such as precipitation with JE632 help. For other baths, we’ll be happy to advise you.
To ensure that smaller quantities are also recovered properly, we take back used baths up to 5 l (Section 26 of the German Circular Economy Act, KrWG). You receive a transfer or consignment note that you can use to prove their proper disposal to the authorities.
