About Jentner Plating Technology
Jentner Plating Technology manufactures plating electrolytes, electroplating chemicals, and small electroplating devices in Pforzheim, Germany. Goldsmiths, jewelers, watchmakers, schools, and laboratories use them to plate jewelry and other workpieces in their own workshops. Our range also includes bath analysis, rhodium recycling, and personal advice.
In Pforzheim since 1974
Kurt Jentner founded the company in 1974, and Chris Jentner has been running it since 1999. Our electrolytes and chemicals are made in our own production facility in Pforzheim. Today, Jentner Plating Technology is part of the JentnerGroup, which also includes C. Jentner GmbH, a metal finishing specialist offering contract electroplating.
Our range
Plating electrolytes
Electrolytes for gold, rhodium, silver, platinum, palladium, and ruthenium, as well as for copper and nickel. Dedicated baths are available for pen plating.
Devices and accessories
Small electroplating devices such as the Comfort II, the Digital series, and the RMGo!, as well as the PICCO+ pen plating unit. Anodes, plating racks, and immersion heaters complete the range.
Pretreatment and post-treatment
Cleaners, degreasers, decapping agents, and covering varnishes prepare the surface. Tarnish protection, protective lacquer, and black oxide complete the process.
Vivacolor acrylic resins
Eight base colors that can be mixed with each other and cure under blue light.
Bath services
Bath analysis
In our laboratory, we test bath samples for metal content, pH value, density, and performance.
Rhodium recycling
With Rhodium Recycling Powder JE632, the precious metal can be recovered from spent electrolytes. After analysis in our laboratory, the determined content is refunded or used for a new bath. We also take back baths containing precious metals.
Advice and training
Our sales team answers questions about application by phone or via Teams. In the Jentner Academy, multilingual training videos show the individual steps of small-scale electroplating.
International
A distributor network and consignment stocks in many countries supply customers outside Germany.
Quality and energy
The quality management system of Jentner Plating Technology is certified according to ISO 9001. The rhodium bath JE88 GO! NDG is not shipped as dangerous goods.
Photovoltaic systems with 300 kWp are installed on the JentnerGroup buildings in Pforzheim. In 2025, they generated around 245 MWh.
The DNA of the JentnerGroup
At the JentnerGroup, DNA is a German acronym for three core values: Digitalisierung, Nachhaltigkeit, and Anstand, meaning digitalization, sustainability, and integrity. They shape decisions in all companies of the group and run through production, quality management, and cooperation with partners.
As a second-generation family business, the JentnerGroup combines experience in electroplating with digital tools. Processes should be measurable, documented, and repeatable regardless of individual people. In dealing with employees, customers, and suppliers, reliability, transparency, and honesty are what count.

Digitalization
The product consultant, online shop, and training videos make product knowledge available at any time. Within the JentnerGroup, processes in production, sales, and accounting are also managed digitally so that they remain transparent and traceable.
Sustainability
Photovoltaic systems on the group’s buildings generate electricity on site. We take back used baths containing precious metals, and rhodium can be recovered with Rhodium Recycling Powder JE632.
Integrity
When advising customers, we say openly if a product or process is not suitable for an application. Reliability, transparency, and honesty apply to customers just as much as to suppliers, authorities, and employees.
